Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What does ‘Edit Visitation Status’ do?

‘Edit Visitation Status’ allows you to change your church submission status, indicating your overall readiness for the visitation. You can choose “Ready for visitation”, “We’re not 100% ready, but happy for review”, or “We’re not 100% ready, but the Archdeacon’s Office can take a look”, at any point in time as your questionnaire progresses. 

Why do my documents show as expired or expiring?

Any date you enter against an uploaded document is checked against today’s date, so anything nearing or past its renewal shows up with a designated colour code, that is, amber if the document is expiring within 30 days, or red if it has expired. 

Can I save my progress and come back later?

Absolutely! Save each answer individually as you go, or click ‘Save All’ at the bottom of the visitation questionnaire, and pick up exactly where you left off. 

Can more than one person work on the questionnaire?

Yes. Any parish user with access can contribute, and every change is saved to the church’s account, so your churchwarden, PCC secretary, clergy, and other staff you want involved can divide the questionnaire among them.

Can I see what the Archdeacon has already checked?

Yes. An ‘Archdeacon Status’ column is shown alongside every question you have answered, so you can see what is confirmed as ‘Satisfied’, what is ‘Not Satisfied’, and what is still ‘Not Checked’, without waiting for the visitation itself.
